Most of us know what PayPal is and use it rather frequently whether it’s during lengthy sessions on our mobilebroadband4g internet looking for the latest deals or to try and find ways of making money or facilitate transactions. We rely on PayPal and its unique method of facilitating online transactions without government interference or controls, but few understand the troublesome history surrounding this online giant or how it almost never came to be.

Like most things in the late 90s, PayPal was just getting started and many thought it wouldn’t last. Eventually a deal was struck with eBay and PayPal’s users shot up to the millions, but it wasn’t all smooth sailing. Many scam artists and organized crime groups sought to exploit PayPal’s transaction features and many people were cheated out of thousands. Some states even banned PayPal, but despite the obstacles, PayPal’s shares continued to climb. Eventually they were the default online payment service and, in 2002, eBay bought PayPal for 1.4 billion in stock.

Nowadays, PayPal continues to be the leader in online transaction services and has even expanded its services to include debit cards for accounts. PayPal is available in over 100 markets for transaction in 25 international currencies. That’s quite the meteoric climb to success.

There several ways for you to add money to your account. You can add money with a Green dot MoneyPak, or by transferring funds from your existing When you open your PayPal account you are given the option or options to link your checking, savings, or debit card to your existing PayPal account. Here you can choose automatic transfers to your account. Which you can set up weekly, every two weeks or monthly. You set the dates and the amounts to be withdrawl.

With Paypal you don’t have to link your bank account if you don’t want to. There is another way to add funds to your account. Get a Green Dot Moneypak card from any retailer. Limited to only US residents, the Green Dot Moneypak card allows you to add $250 a year to start and $2000 a month from accounts with a social security number on file. Here’s how to add funds to Paypal.

Purchase a Green Dot Moneypak card. Most places charge a minimum of $4.95 to buy the actual card. Once the card is purchased, it’s time to add funds. With additional cash in-hand, they will load the desired amount (cash in-hand) into the card. Log into Paypal. From where you are scroll to the ‘add funds’ and in the drop down menu click ‘add funds with moneypak.’ Paypal will connect to Moneypak. Then type in the Moneypak number located on the back of the card. Verify by typing the CAPACHA below and press next. They will check for the funds and transfer them to the Paypal account. Once that’s done, there will be confirmation of the order.

This is a nice alternative to add money in your account.

Do you use PayPal to shop do your online shopping? Have you ever wanted to buy something with your PayPal account immediately, but the money wasn’t there? Do you wish that you didn’t have to wait a couple of days for the transfer? With PayPal balance manager you don’t have to run into that situation anymore.

PayPal balance manager let’s you control how much money comes from your bank account to your PayPal account. It also let’s you control when. For instance, if you’d like to make a transfer from your bank account to your PayPal account every two weeks, you can choose the amount that you’d like transferred, and every two weeks, you’re set. If you’d like $50 sent to your PayPal every two weeks, just set it up and balance manager will take care of the rest.

PayPal balance manager also allows you to set a minimum amount. If your PayPal balance drops below a certain dollar amount, balance manager will automatically refill it back to the amount you decide on. So if you would like your account to always stay at a $50 minimum, just specify $50 as your minimum amount, and balance manager will take care of it.

Let’s assume your personal business is booming and, PayPal being your choice revenue service, you need another PayPal MasterCard for your account. The first thing you would do is go to paypal.com and login with your email address and PayPal password. If an instructional page pops up telling you to learn the best ways to use your PayPal account, ignore it and click the “Go To My Account” link in the bottom right corner of the screen. Near the middle of your account page there will be a line that reads “10 Second Credit Decision with PayPal Extras MasterCard.” Click the “APPLY NOW” link directly to the right of it. It will take you to an application page. Select a design, standard or custom, and verify that your contact information is correct. You’ll then have to provide your date of birth, SSN and annual income. You’ll have a couple payment options to decide between and terms and conditions to accept. Once you’ve done all of the above steps and read through the Credit Security program and the Terms and Conditions agreement, you can check the corresponding boxes and click the “Agree and Continue” button at the bottom of the page. Once you’re approved, your PayPal Mastercard will be sent to you in the mail.
